Two Knocks on a Door was born from a fear that many new parents have: how do I, and can I, protect this little person that I love more than I ever thought was possible? As filmmakers, and dads, we wanted to explore that fear within the realm of masculinity and discover what happens when a man whose perception of himself as tough and protective is challenged by something ominous.

We married those ideas with our love of classic horror tropes - a character searching their house alone at night, the fake-out scare, the POV of a lurker in the dark – and psychological horror’s power to say more by showing less, for a unique, unsettling experience.
